Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of clients do you work with in Nigeria?
We provide security for companies, schools, estates, churches, event planners, and high-net-worth individuals. If you run an office, warehouse, factory, school, hotel, estate, or you are a private individual who needs movement security, we can design a package for you.
Which areas do you cover?
Our primary area of operations is Lagos and surrounding states. For serious clients, we can support movements to other parts of Nigeria on a case-by-case basis once the risk and logistics are properly reviewed.
What services can you provide for local clients?
For Nigerian clients, our main services include:
VIP escort and convoy security
Secure drivers and transport
Corporate and private guard services
Event security and crowd control
Guard dog (K9) deployment with handlers
Asset escort for cash, equipment, or high-value goods
Site security surveys and risk assessments
If you tell us your location and your main concerns, we can recommend the right combination.
Are your guards and staff properly trained?
Yes. We do not send “just anybody” to stand at a gate. Our personnel go through:
Background checks and vetting
Training in access control, observation, reporting, and basic first aid
Briefing on your specific site and post orders
We also use supervisors and spot checks to make sure those standards don’t drop after the first week.
Are your guards armed? Can I request armed escorts?
We follow Nigerian law and NSCDC regulations. In some locations and roles, unarmed guards with strong procedures are the best option. In higher-risk situations, we can arrange armed escort support through the proper channels where legally allowed.
We will review your site, your risk, and the law, then tell you honestly what is realistic and legal—not just what sounds good.
Can you work with my existing security or estate guards?
Yes. Many clients already have guards at the gate or estate level. We can:
Add supervisors to tighten discipline
Provide training and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
Deploy a smaller number of our own personnel at key points (entrance, movement, VIP protection) while your existing guards cover routine posts
The goal is to raise the overall standard without causing unnecessary friction.
How do you charge – per hour, per day, or per month?
It depends on the service:
Guards at a fixed location (office, estate, warehouse): usually monthly rates per guard, based on hours and risk level.
VIP escort, convoy, secure driver: usually per day or per operation, depending on distance, vehicles, and manpower.
Events: usually a flat fee per event, based on number of guards, hours, and risk.
Once we understand your site or movement, we will give you a clear written quote before you decide.
How do I book Black Star Protection for my company, estate, or event?
The process is simple:
Contact us with your location, dates, and what you need.
We schedule a short discussion or site visit (for guard work and bigger contracts).
You receive a written proposal and quote.
Once you approve and make the required payment, we assign your team and start deployment.
No confusion, no last-minute surprises.
How quickly can you start?
For one-time movements and escorts, we can often support within a few days if we are not fully booked.
For long-term guard deployments (offices, estates, schools), we prefer a short planning window to vet staff, conduct a site survey, and agree on post orders. That way, your first day of service is not trial and error.
Can you provide security for schools, churches, and events?
Yes. We work with:
Schools (drop-off/pick-up security, gate control, special events)
Churches and mosques (services, vigils, special programs)
Weddings, concerts, corporate events, and campaigns
We plan entry/exits, crowd flow, parking, and VIP protection, and coordinate with your internal team and, where needed, local authorities
How do you handle emergencies or incidents?
Every deployment has clear escalation procedures. Our guards are trained to:
Raise an alarm and notify supervisors immediately
Protect life first, then property
Record what happened and support any follow-on investigation
You will know in advance who your point of contact is, and how incidents will be reported and documented.
Will you keep my information and operations confidential?
Yes. We treat client information—addresses, routines, movements—as sensitive data. We only share it with the personnel who need it to protect you.
We do not post clients’ locations, routines, or movements on social media. Discretion is part of the service.
